In 1996, armed with a Bachelor of Science (Human Geography) and a Diploma in Tourism I launched into the travel industry by working at San Michele Travel. During my 8 years at San Michele, I was involved in everything from ticketing, documentation, accounts, overseas reservations and staff training to wholesale and retail sales. Somewhere along the way I ended up working on the company's website. While the database and masthead were designed by "professionals", I began to do the HTML pages and entering the hotel and tour data into asp and aspx databases.

Since leaving full time employment with San Michele following the birth of my daughter I have been working on the San Michele Travel website as well as a new website for Asia Travel Experts, Houseboats Worldwide and India Travel Experts. I have also been doing some admin work for Primary Sports Active, a company that runs school holiday sports programs for primary school kids.

Family History

I am also in the process of creating a website for my father's ongoing geneological research into not only his family but many related families. What started as a retirement hobby for him has grown into a massive endeavour that now spans many years and many countries.

Playgroup

Having children led me to become involved with the local playgroup. I served as Co-ordinator for 2 years and am still very much involved in our playgroup. My involvement this year has included creating some web pages featuring details of our playgroup.

Team Ozzy Roadkill & The Mongol Rally

I am currently looking for sponsors for a team that have entered the 2009 Mongol Rally.

The Mongol Rally involves driving from London to Ulan Bataar in a hoplessly under-powered vehicle in order to raise funds for charity.
